Wexford took her hand and led her in the direction of the beach that ran in front of Brighton. They were at the far end, where people seldom gathered. Too far away from town and everything that went on around the shoreline there.

There were a couple of small old row boats that sat abandoned next to a fishing shack, the opening the farthest from civilization.

"Once the fishermen have returned for the day, no one comes here, Clare. We're quite safe from prying eyes. Do you trust me?

"Yes, Parr, and I want you."

He then picked Clare up and placed her voluptuous bottom on an abandoned boat next to the door of the fishing shack. He placed his hands on her knees and pulled them apart in a slow, methodical motion, watching her face.

Clare’s cheeks darkened, and she licked her lips, causing him to groan.

He bent his head, and they kissed as if they’d been kissing for years. Her mouth opened instantly, and her fingers entwined in his hair. His hands moved down to grip her hips.

Finally, he pulled away, her mouth a deep red, bruised from his kisses. Her eyes were heavy with lust. He placed one hand under her skirts, his fingers caressing her private places. She clenched his forearms, and her mouth opened, but no sound emerged.

Wexford kissed her on her left cheekbone and then once again her mouth.

“Do you like this?” he whispered.

A pleading sound emerged from her throat. She buried her face in his waistcoat as he bent over her and he stroked her with callused fingers. He pushed one finger, then a second into her, past plump, swollen flesh.

She cried out as an orgasm slammed into her, and she shuddered.

“You’re mine, Clare,” Wexford said, his voice reassuring.

She was vaguely aware of him tearing open his breeches. His hands came around her hips, and he thrust forward. Clare curled her legs around his hips to pull him closer. He entered her in one smooth stroke, her passage wet for him.

Her mouth sought his and she whimpered his name as he rocked into her, thrusting so hard, she thought she might split apart. There was no pain, just fullness. Pleasure shot through her in waves as Wexford braced his hands at her sides, his hips grinding into her. His face had a look of ferocious severity as he lost himself in her.

He groaned and slammed into her as an orgasm flew through her from head to toe, where only the two of them were allowed.

His body shuddered again and again as he came. He jerked forward, shouting out her name.

When they’d both recovered, Wexford stood and made himself somewhat presentable. Her hair hadn’t survived well during their tryst. “Your hair looks nice down.”

She stood and he wound his arms around her from behind. “I love the way you smell after we’ve made love.”

“We best be careful, or I’ll be with child before you know it.”

“Would that be so terrible?”

She cocked her head curiously. “Do you want to?”

“No. There’s nothing I love better than to feel my seed flood you.
